Florence LAFORGE
Head of School & Founder
Mrs. Laforge has been teaching high school economics since 1991. She is certified by the French National Education. During her career, she had the opportunity to work as a Vice Principal... in a large high school in downtown Rouen, in the Seine-Maritime region. She enjoyed this position so much that she promised herself that one day she would become a school Principal. For the past 8 years, Mrs. Laforge taught Social and Economic Sciences at the Ecole Francaise Bilingue de Greenville where she also served as Vice-Principal. With the announcement of the permanent closure of the Ecole Francaise Bilingue de Greenville, she decided to open a French International School in order to better serve the community that welcomed her as well as the Francophone community of Greenville County. Mrs. Laforge is married and has 4 children. The family arrived in Greenville in December 2012 for professional reasons and has since made the choice to stay permanently.
Nathalie DUBREUIL

Nathalie Dubreuil is from Boston, Massachusetts. Her mother is from Canada and her father is from France. She grew up in a bilingual household. She attended The International School of Boston from preschool through 5th grade then went to an American school. During the summers as a child she went to France to be with her grandmother; ... and attend summer camps. As she got older, during the summer, she volunteered with an international group helping rebuild historical buildings in small European towns. She volunteered at the local library as the Easter bunny for the kids. She also babysat kids of all ages. During high school she also did some time at a head start program for kids.Nathalie started her college education at Wheelock College then at Lasell University. She decided to take a break in 2015 and move to Maine for a change. She lived in Maine for a year before she had her first child. Her daughter motivated her to return to college and finish her bachelors at The University of Maine Augusta. She moved to Greenville, South Carolina, in 2020 so her child could attend the French school. She was still pursuing her bachelors when she moved while also being pregnant with her second child. She graduated with her Bachelors in Liberal Arts with minors in French and Business Administration in 2021. Both her children now attend The International School of
Pascal NATIEZ
History & Geography teacher Middle & High school
Born in Arras, Pascal Natiez grew up in Nantes and its region. He has completed an internal agrégation diploma in history and geography and a master's degree in modern history. ... He began teaching in 1986 in several schools in the Nantes academy. In 1993, he moved to the United States and worked at the Lycée Français de Los Angeles for five years. After a year in France, he married Kerrie Larsen and worked for the French Bilingual School of Greenville for 23 years as a History-Geography teacher from grade 6 to grade 12, also teaching economics, philosophy, geopolitics and music education. He is the father of three bilingual children.
Susanne Dorow
German teacher (Primary School)
Susanne Dorow was born in Stuttgart and grew up in a small town in southern Germany as the daughter of a teaching couple, alongside four siblings. As a result, the school environment has always been an integral part of her life. From an early age ... she knew that she wanted to work with people, especially with children. During her studies in Social Pedagogy (Nuremberg Institute of Technology), she gained experience in tutoring centers and homework support programs. She completed her two practical semesters at an NGO in Edinburgh, Scotland, working with multicultural families. After graduating, she moved to Barcelona, Spain, where she first completed an internship in the social sector as a Leonardo da Vinci scholarship holder. She then pursued a postgraduate program in “German as a Foreign Language” at the UAB (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona). In total, she worked for nearly ten years as a German teacher and TELC examiner, teaching both children and adults at various universities and language schools in Barcelona (Esade Business & Law School, Euroaula University School of Tourism, Deutsche Akademie). In 2013, she returned to Germany, this time to Munich. During her first year, she worked as a German teacher and playgroup leader at parent-child centers before transitioning into school social work at one of the largest primary schools in northern Munich. Over more than ten years, she supported the individual needs of children and families, advised educational staff, led classroom projects and small group sessions, and developed a strong understanding of the Bavarian school system. During this time, she also accompanied her own children through primary and secondary education. Always seeking new challenges, Susanne Dorow completed five years of further training in the field of systemic practice and is now a certified systemic counselor, couples and family therapist, as well as a systemic supervisor and coach (DGSF certified). She applies this expertise both in her work with children and families at school and in her freelance work supporting various social institutions in and around Munich. Susanne Dorow speaks five languages (German, English, Spanish, French, and Catalan). She enjoys traveling and singing, is enthusiastic about sports and yoga, and brings patience, a strong interest in interpersonal communication, as well as enthusiasm and optimism to her work. Since summer 2026, Susanne Dorow has been living in Greenville with her family and is very much looking forward to her new role as a German teacher at ISG.
Ana ARRIAGA
Spanish 3-12th & educative assistant
Ana Luisa Arriaga Pérez was born and raised in México and is a proud French citizen. She graduated valedictorian of the social sciences department of the UVM with a Masters degree in communication sciences. At 22 years old she moved to France to pursue her dreams. After two years of perfecting ... perfecting her French and obtaining a Bachelors degree in “Lettres Moderns” she spent two years and a half at the Université Nancy2 and graduated with a DSS in communication of enterprises and organizations. Ana’s first Job was as the head of the communications department at the Technical General Direction for L’Oréal In Paris. After more than ten years in France, life and family brought her back for two years to México city, where she worked as a freelance communications consultant for corporations. She subsequently moved to the United States were she has juggled family and work. Since moving here she has worked as Sales Manager for BCBG and MaxAzria and as a Bilingual teacher assistant for the Blythe Academy After-school. Her most recent work was as a translator (English, French, Spanish and Italian) for various agencies and Greenville Hospitals.Her experience knowing four different languages and living in three different countries has given her an increased sensibility to the beauty of cultural differences. She has two kids of which is very proud. Her son is heading to The University of South Carolina to study International business and her daughter is starting high school. Her general skills are, patience, problem solving, flexibility, communication, teamwork, creativity, attention to detail, and roject management. Her main focus is her family but she also enjoys photography, painting, swimming, skating, staying informed, movies and reading…. and she loves KIDS!
Heidy ARROYAVE

Heidy Arroyave was born in New York City, raised in Medellin, Colombia, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Connecticut. ... She pursued a career in journalism, working as a local news reporter for America Latina Newspaper in Portchester, New York. She moved to South Carolina with her husband in 2003, where they established roots and raised a family. She has been teaching English to adults, adolescents and children since 2006. She has two adult daughters and two beautiful dogs. She enjoys spending time in the mountains of TN meditating, practicing yoga, and nature photography.
Kerrie NATIEZ

Kerrie Natiez has been teaching for 24 years. She was born in Iowa where she attended Central College in Pella, Iowa. There she earned a B.A. in Elementary Education with a specialization in ... Early Childhood Education. She taught one year in Iowa before moving to Los Angeles, California where she taught kindergarten for three years at Le Lycée Français de Los Angeles. She met her husband while there and they moved to Greenville, South Carolina in 1999. Her first two years in South Carolina, she taught first grade at Pleasant Grove Christian Academy in Fountain Inn, South Carolina. Since then, they have added three children to their family. She is currently teaching Kindergarten and 1st grade at EFB, where she has taught for the last 17 years (first teaching 1st-6th grade English, then CM1-CM2 English, and now her current role). At ISG she will be teaching Kindergarten- 3rd grade English.Kerrie’s teaching philosophy is that every child is unique and it is her job to help them find their strengths. Seeing the students thrive is her biggest joy as a teacher. Her favorite activities include watching movies with her family, decorating her home, attending concerts and musicals, and traveling.
Robin RUNGASSAMY

Robin Rungassamy graduated from the University of Paris VI de Jussieu, France. He obtained a master's degree in chemistry in Paris and then began a thesis at the University of Clermont Ferrand. ... He subsequently taught science as well as mathematics and French (FLE) at high school and college level in France as well as in different parts of the world (Los Angeles, Miami, Mauritius, Seychelles, Egypt and Morocco). For over 23 years, he has taught in the French, IB and Californian systems. Yoga teacher and Ayurvedic masseur. Robin Rungassamy is passionate about the Indian system of well-being. He also loves everything to do with the sea. He is practically a dive master. He enjoys playing chess and go. Robin is delighted to be back in the USA and to be joining the ISG team.
Josie WILLIAMS

Josie Williams was born and raised in Memphis, TN, and came to SC for college where she earned her undergraduate degree from Furman University. After spending ... ... her junior year abroad on foreign study in Paris, she decided to pursue further study of French, so after graduating from Furman, she attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville where she earned a Master's degree in French language & literature, where she first gained teaching experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Her first teaching position was as an adjunct instructor at Furman on a one-year contract, then she was hired by Michelin to work in their in-house language training program, with adult employees as students. After 3 years there, she was moved to work in expatriate administration, where she worked in immigration to secure approval from the U.S. Dept. of Justice (INS at the time) for incoming foreign nationals, mostly French, coming to work on temporary assignments in the States, as well as working with the International Personnel Dept in Clermont-Ferrand for outgoing U.S. employees going on work assignments in France, as well as in other countries around the globe. She was sent to Clermont to work en stage to learn the inner workings of the global personnel department. After three years in that position, she then stayed home with her young children for several years. She returned to the classroom in 2003, as a prof d'anglais at the French School, teaching collège and lycée levels anglais LV1 as well as Social Studies and Histoire des Arts for middle schoolers, until the school was closed in June '22. She also currently works as Adjunct Instructor of French at Greenville Technical College.
Jorge Andres HENAO
Physical education
Jorge Henao was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia. He did his development club at Independiente Santafe, where he played in some national and regional tournaments. ... He holds a FA LEVEL 1 certification from the Football Association in the UK, where he played in the local university league. He moved to the United States 6 years ago to play college soccer, first at Erskine College (for 3 years) and then at North Greenville University (for 1 year). He was named third team all-conference in his last season at NGU. He is currently the head coach for the men’s soccer program at Greenville Senior High School.
