French Baccalaureate Program

The French Baccalaureate Program offers AEFE certified education for grades K - 12, featuring full immersion French language programs and faculty certified by the French Ministry of Education. ISG welcomes children from the age of two and a half, with French immersion in K3 and K4 following the world-renowned curriculum of French preschools (Ecoles maternelles). By K5, all children follow both French and American curriculum (including reading and writing in both French and English).

This AEFE certified program is equivalent to studying in France and allow French expatriates to seamlessly transition back into French schools or universities. However, this program is also for students of all nationalities* who wish to develop a level of French equivalent to a native French speaker.

ISG maintains small classes to allow a personalized learning tailored to each child’s unique abilities. This means every child is able to reach his or her greatest educational potential. Our student:teacher ratio is approximately 6:1; this personalized supervision promotes a privileged relationship between the teacher and your child based on respect and trust.

*If you are an American interested in this program please see our American’s Guide to French Education.

Presenting a National School System

The French educational system, well known for its rigorous curriculum, is organized in such a way that every school follows the same well-defined program as set forth by the French Department of Education, (le Ministère de l’Education Nationale). This means not only that every teacher receives the same high-quality training but also that every child in France, regardless of location or other demographics, can expect to receive the same high-quality education.
